April 2009
EPR has just completed an initial investigation of the market potential for a combined solar/wind parabolic concentrator system. This system can be used either for electricity generation, eg for a home, or for daylighting in supermarkets, warehouses etc
The work was conducted on behalf of the School Of The Built Environment, University of Nottingham and more details can be obtained upon request.
January 2009
The study of heritage craft building skills across the island of Ireland is to be launched at Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast on Wednesday 14th January 2009. "Assessing the Need, Meeting the Challenge" was designed to quantify the demand for traditional craft skills such as lime plastering, and also to review the supply side and training requirements.

EPR has recently completed a study of zero carbon homes for the NHBC Foundation. The report, "Zero Carbon: what does it mean to homeowners and housebuilders?" was launched at the National Portrait Gallery on 2nd April 2008.

Following the research into craft building skills in Wales (see below) EPR is now conducting a similar study across Ireland for a consortium including CITB Northern Ireland and the Office of Public Works in the Republic of Ireland.
